An illegal mining farm operating in an ordinary garage was discovered in the city of Bataysk, Rostov region. The operation was carried out by the Ministry of Internal Affairs together with representatives of Donenergo after numerous complaints from local residents about voltage drops and breakdowns of household appliances in nearby houses.

When examining on the spot, the police seized:

-13 ASIC devices

-cameras and routers with SIM cards

-a device for accounting for electricity consumption

the farm consumed over 480,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 kW · h — with a limit for individuals of 6,000 kW · h per month. In terms, this is about 80 times higher than permissible, which is equivalent to the damage of hundreds of thousands of rubles.

Previously, such a farm was eliminated in Ingushetia — there the damage exceeded 2 million rubles.
